House Rules

This is a residential, discipleship home, minimum 9-12 month program for adult men. All men must want to help themselves in order to be successful in this ministry. Below you will find the list of house rules all men are required to follow while residing in this program.

  • There is absolutely ZERO TOLERANCE for drugs/alcohol/marijuana, including synthetics’ use or possession. Infraction of this rule will result in immediate dismissal of residence. Kingdom Builders Ministry is not a treatment facility, rather a place of healing and betterment of Life through Jesus Christ.  

  • Any and all failed drug tests will be reported to appropriate authorities.  

  • Residents taking prescription medications will be required to relinquish their medications to Ministry Staff/Leaders. Medications will be secured upon arrival and will be dispensed by Ministry Staff/Leaders daily as prescribed. It is your responsibility to go to staff/Leaders for your meds.  

  • Absolutely no controlled substance medications are accepted.  

  • All residents are subject to random drug testing without notice and with or without cause or explanation. Refusal to submit to testing will be treated in the same manner as having submitted a positive test and if the resident should leave the property any time for any reason before submitting to testing, the resident will be immediately dismissed from residency. 

  • It is essential that residents are willing to live in a positive relationship with staff/leaders, fellow residents, and volunteers. Any resident intentionally and purposely creating discontent and strife amongst fellow residents will be given a write up and/or will be dismissed from the premises. That includes visitors of residents.  

  • The Director and House Leaders are the authority of the household. Resident are required to surrender to Leadership authority and respect their decisions.  

  • There is ZERO TOLERANCE for any talk of leaving the ministry. Residents should have their bags packed before saying “I don’t want to be here.” 

  • All residents are not allowed a relationship. If clients are found seeking or engaging in relationships a loss of privileges may incur. This includes but is not limited to driving and phone privileges or dismissal. In certain cases, a no contact order be issued.  

  • Clients who are legally married and clients with children and not married to other parent will be permitted to maintain relationship after 90 days provided both parties are respecting and following the structure and dynamics of the Kingdom Builders Ministry Program. 

  • After the first 60 days a pass will be granted from 8am to 8 pm (Saturday or Sunday) After their first 90 days residents are allowed to a  
    Weekend Pass. Weekend passes are allowed every 30 days following the first one taken. All passes must be approved by the Leadership Team 7 days in advance and will not be granted if house dues are behind $260 or more. 

  • For a minimum of 60 days there will be no phone privileges. For the first 60 days clients may be allowed 2 calls each week to their family that will be monitored by Leadership. Work calls will be permitted if approved by the Leadership. If a client has earned the privilege after 60 days a flip phone with no data will be permitted. No calls are allowed after 10 pm. 

  • Driving privileges are earned under the discretion of Leadership. 

  • All Residents must surrender to the rules, house leadership and the dynamics of the program and most importantly be willing to surrendered to Jesus. 

  • All Residents are required to be out of bed with bed made by 7 am daily (8 am on the weekends) or 4pm if the Resident works night shifts (unless otherwise authorized by Leadership). Residents must be actively productive in the house and in the world. 

  • All residents are required to attend Sunday Church Service @ West Side Family Life Center as a Family. 

  • All residents are required to serve at least one Saturday a month in the community.  

  • No smoking or going outside until church or meeting is dismissed, and you are dismissed by Leadership. 

  • All Residents are required to do their part in maintaining Living quarters as well as daily chores as set by Kingdom Builders Ministry Staff/Leadership. 

  • No smoking/vaping in the ministry house nor in the ministry vehicles. 

  • No pornography 

  • No gambling. This includes but is not limited to scratchers and video slots. 

  • All residents are required to shower daily. 

  • All residents are required to wash bed clothes once weekly.  

  • Food in the kitchen is for everyone unless otherwise marked. If anything in the kitchen has a resident’s name on it, do not use it unless given permission from the owner of the items in question. 

  • Residents are not allowed to leave the house without an accountability partner for the first 90 days. After 90 days residents can earn the privilege to leave without an accountability partner under Leadership’s approval. Unless otherwise specified by the director. 

  • Shopping days are Wednesday and Saturdays. Residents are encouraged to do all their shopping on these days. (Local stores only) All other trips must be approved by Leadership.  

  • All residents are required to be transparent with any and all issues as they arise, no sweeping things under the rug. Little things do not have to become big things if dealt with immediately. It is essential that residents communicate wit leadership when there is an issue. 

  • All residents are REQUIRED to have daily bible intake time outside of Church attendance. (Minimum of 1 hour a day) If minimum requirements are not met, loss of privileges. 

  • There will be absolutely ZERO TOLERANCE for violence, threats of violence, intimidation or theft at Kingdom Builders Ministry property. Violation of this policy will result in immediate dismissal from Kingdom Builders Ministry premises. NOTE: Criminal charges (when necessary) may result from violation of this policy.  

  • All residents are required to follow all state and federal laws while in the ministry. Failure to do so will result in immediate dismissal from Kingdom Builders Ministry.  

  • Residents that commit traffic violations resulting in a ticket are expected to pay said ticket out of their pocket. Traffic violations can result in a loss of driving privileges.  

  • Weapons of any sort are strictly prohibited in clients’ individual possession, in their rooms or on Kingdom Builders Ministry property. Weapons include but are not limited to: Firearms, ammunition, knives over 3”, etc.… 

  • All residents are subject to search of their person, personal belongings including cell phones, their rooms and surrounding areas without cause or explanation at any time. Failure to submit to search will be handled in the same manner as having been found in possession of ZERO TOLERANCE items, resulting in immediate dismissal from the Kingdom Builders Ministry. 

  • Residents will be required to socialize and not isolate themselves. Loneliness and self-pity leads back to addiction and dysfunctional behaviors.  

  • Residents are required to always conduct themselves in a proper manner. Remember you represent the ministry as well as Jesus Christ.  

  • Residents dismissed from Kingdom Builders Ministry premises must collect their personal belongings, under Staff/Leadership supervision, within one hour of termination. If/when necessary, PO officers and/or courts will be notified of dismissal.  

  • House dues are $150 per week and due on Fridays. If a resident is unemployed the dues will be $85 per week until employment is gained. If a resident has back dues, once employed resident will be expected to pay $130 weekly dues and additional $50 (total weekly ($180) until caught up.  

  • Owing $260 or more in past dues will result in loss of privileges including and not limited to weekend passes. 

House rules and regulations are subject to change without notice and are under the discretion of Kingdom Builders Ministry Staff. Residents may be dealt with in a manner of case by case discretion.
